More about his fraudulent racing career...

... His first taste of triumph began in Asia with the 1998 China Fomula Campus Championship and the 1999 Southeast Asia Touring Car Zone Challenge. This was followed by the AF2000 race at the 46th Macau Grand Prix where he became the next Filipino contender to fly the flag on the Guia Circuit of Macau in 20 years. He was the only Asia who competed in the 2000 International Group-N Endurance Series in Europe. For this, he netted 1st in Class III and 2nd in individual driver points, as well as the Rookie Championships and Team Trophy. In the same year, Barretto was ranked 16th Overall in the roster of BMW Sport Pokal Trophy.

Preparations for Barretto's participation in the ALMS this year was result of a systematic and technologically advanced study of speed. And for Barretto, high-technology and computer simulations are tools of the trade. And even here, sped must play a significant role. By using PLDT's myDSL service, he is able top obtain Internet connections in motorsport-related sites faster than other regular dial-ups. This is because PLDT's myDSL uses broadband technology to transform the seemingly ordinary copper wires of the telephone line to an information superhighway that can transmit large volumes of data in real-time. With myDSL, he is able to actually augment his training by planning his strategy on and off track. By downloading data, Angelo is able to plan his race moves with quick precision and accuracy.

myDLS's spped allows Barretto to fully utilize and enjoy all the applications available on the internet like webhosting, viewing live webcasts, video conferencing, downloading and uploading large files, multi-media online gaming, surfing, chatting, and email - with all with no interruption.

Speed in what keeps Angelo Barretto going. He thrives on it, on and off track. And that's from someone who finds speed fascinating.

  1. I know about this and heard it a thousand times. everyone in local racing thinks his a joke and his modus operandi with his fake acheivements. one time he mentioned to people and the press that he finished top in Le Mans. As it turns out my friend has a foreign friend present in the race and didnt even know he exist. when they checked he finished almost dead last. no wonder he was never in the Asian Formula 3 Series cos apparently when he tested he was 10 seconds off the pace of our other local bets.

Did you also know that he dupped money from a pinay in Belgium that even offered her home to him when he was going to race in that country. And what did he do? he came up with a story that he has money coming thru money transfer in a week but needs to borrow $10,000 now. So the innocent pinay advanced the money thinking shes helping the Filipino pride. And you guessed it..He dissapeared and never paid that poor Pinay. It even came out in a few articles in the Philippiones regarding that incident...so beware!

  2. Did you know He was Benched during that RACE. Talaga. Thierry P does not let some novice with NO Money take his car out. Spa Francorchamp was sponsored by PLDT,and LOANS from several Persons. Whom he has not yet paid. That International was a FARCE. There we all were a bunch of "Filipino" nationalists hosting the Visitors lounge of the Perspective Racing team ( which Angelo bought a seat into)...waiting for Thierry (Constructors team owner) to call Angelo and give him the slot in the Mosler. It was a 24 hour Endurance Race. So we were waiting a long time... Angelo said they'd make him drive at night cause he had better Night vision than the rest. BULLSHIT! He never got behind that wheel. He didn't make good on his contract. He didn't have the full payment for that race. Apparently, he had old debts to settle with Perspective Racing from a previous race. Plus, I heard he crashed on the Trial run.So Thierry was not bent on really making him race. I found out this was always the case with Angelo. A con artists with Debts,Loans, and car crashes. BIG Disaster. His race in Macau for a BMW team... what a joke! He was out the first 5min. of the race. Big Crash on the bend. For That race he screwed a lot of people over... I suppose he should be banned from all circuits. He is arrogant. He does not listen to people outside of his racing consult... who by the way are as unscrupulous as he is. I don't think being good in PS3 gran Tourismo counts as real practice racing or makes you a candidate for Motorsports Racing. Especially when you claim to be better than the local drivers And position yourself in the International circuit as a racing legend. Thats more BS. Angelo is a real big dick with no Balls.

  4. Sad... while everyone worked for this selfish prick, he most probably sat there in the pit box contriving a way to cheat the team members of their rightful share. Tsk. Tsk. Shame on you 'RICH' racerboy.
